Education

The Education Department supports lifelong learning for Chippewas of the Thames First Nation members, from early childhood through post-secondary and beyond. We oversee Antler River Elementary School (ARES), provide secondary school supports, and offer financial aid and guidance for post-secondary students. Our work also includes education governance, cultural initiatives, mentorship, and community engagement to ensure that learning is both academically strong and culturally rooted. Guided by Anishinaabe values and mino bimaadziwin (living the good life), the department is committed to creating a holistic education system that supports identity, self-determination, and student success. By embedding language, culture, and land-based learning into education at every level, we are building a strong foundation for future generations.
